Help reduce rear-wheel spray on damp rides with the Velo-Tool Long Rear Clip-On Bike Mudguard. Its extended blade sits above the rear tyre, with two attachment arms shown mounted to the bicycle’s seatstays in the catalogue photograph.
This is a different mounting arrangement from a small saddle-rail spray guard. Check your frame and available tyre clearance before choosing it.
Product details
- Long rear spray-guard blade.
- Two clip-on attachment arms.
- Seatstay-mounted arrangement shown in the fitted catalogue photo.
- Dark finish with Velo-Tool branding.
- Listed weight: 70g.
Check frame compatibility
Confirm that the attachment arms suit your seatstay shape, spacing and material, and that your frame manufacturer permits this type of accessory. Do not assume compatibility based on saddle type or bike category.
Check clearance from the tyre, brake components, cables and other accessories. On a suspension bike, verify clearance through the manufacturer’s specified range of movement. Do not force the mounts onto an unsuitable frame.
Spray coverage
The previous specification lists 23–25mm tyres as the intended coverage range. Coverage on wider tyres is not established, and tyre width alone does not determine fitting compatibility.
The guard can help reduce spray but is not a full enclosure of the wheel or a guarantee of dry clothing. It is not protective equipment against stones or other road debris.
Fitting and care
Follow the supplied fitting instructions and your frame manufacturer’s accessory guidance. Check the attachment is secure and the blade remains clear of the wheel before each ride. Inspect the guard and mounts after impacts or rough surfaces.
What’s included
One long rear mudguard with its attachment arms, as shown in the standalone catalogue photo. Bicycle and other accessories in the fitted photo are not included.
