Use the wear checker to assess a compatible chain according to the checker instructions and your chain manufacturer’s replacement guidance. Do not apply one universal wear threshold to every drivetrain.
The splitter is for compatible chain-pin work, while the pliers are for suitable quick links. Neither tool establishes that a joining pin or quick link can be reused.

Confirm compatibility with your exact chain model, pin design and joining link before use. Speed count alone is not enough to establish fit, and this listing does not claim universal compatibility from single-speed through 12-speed.
Follow the chain manufacturer’s shortening, joining and inspection procedure. Replacement pins, quick links or a new chain may be required separately.
