How to Install Tubeless Valves
1. Prepare Your Rims
Remove existing tyres and inner tubes completely. Clean the rim bed thoroughly and apply tubeless rim tape with firm, even pressure. Use a blunt tool to locate and pierce the valve hole through the tape.
2. Select Correct Valve Length
Choose 44mm for standard rims or 60mm for deeper section wheels. The valve should extend far enough above the rim for easy pump head attachment and sealant injection.
3. Install the Valve
Insert the valve stem through the hole in the tape from inside the rim. Ensure the rubber base sits flush against the tape. Hand-tighten the lock ring firmly from the outside - avoid over-tightening which can damage the tape seal or compress the rubber base excessively.
4. Complete Your Setup
Mount your tyre, remove the valve core for easier bead seating, then inflate. Once seated, add sealant through the valve using a sealant injector (60-80ml for road, 80-120ml for MTB).
Maintenance Tips
Check valve tightness periodically. If you experience air loss, ensure the valve core is properly installed and the lock ring is secure. Replace valve cores annually for optimal performance.
