Dimensions and fit
Catalogue-listed dimensions: 240 mm long × 41 mm wide, with an approximate height of 9 mm. These dimensions are shown in the existing product measurement image; measure your intended fitting area before ordering.
The catalogue lists Mountain, Downhill, Road, Hybrid, Gravel and Electric bike types, plus Other. A listed bike type is not a guarantee of fit. Frame size labels alone do not establish compatibility: check the actual chainstay profile, available contact area and clearance.
Check-fit checklist
- Compare the 240 × 41 mm footprint with the intended chainstay area and allow for the approximately 9 mm raised height.
- With the adhesive backing still on, check the guard’s shape and coverage against your chainstay. Check that the adhesive contact area can sit securely without bridging unsuitable contours.
- Check clearance from the drivetrain, tyre, cables and moving parts. Do not obstruct components or suspension movement.
- Confirm that your frame manufacturer permits adhesive protectors on the intended finish and follow its cleaning guidance.
- Do not assume universal fit or adhesion to every finish. If fit or finish suitability is uncertain, confirm with your frame manufacturer before applying.
Installation and positioning guide
Example fitted position only, not a fit guarantee. The guard sits on the drive-side chainstay beneath the chain, covering the intended chain-contact area.
- Check position: Leave the backing on while checking the shape, coverage and clearance against your chainstay.
- Prepare the surface: Clean and dry the intended contact area using a method approved for your frame finish. Do not apply over dirt, grease or moisture.
- Fit: Follow the supplied fitting instructions. Remove the backing, position the guard and apply firm, even pressure. Follow any specified adhesive settling time before riding.
Inspect adhesion periodically. This guard covers only the area where it is fitted; it is not structural protection or a guarantee against abrasion or frame damage. Follow frame and product guidance for removal.
